Man, 19, dies after being struck by car in Co Cork

A 19-year-old man has died after being struck by a car in Co Cork on Friday night.

The incident occurred at Hoffman Park in Little Island, at around 11.50pm.

The man was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he died yesterday.

An examination of the scene was carried out by garda forensic road collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses, or any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area between 11pm and midnight on 17 April to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021 4558510, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
