Do you agree with Leo Varadkar's comments on rural Ireland?

Original source (on modern site)

JUST AS TENSIONS over fuel prices, farming, and the rural-urban divide started to temper, former Taoiseach and Dubliner Leo Varadkar rocked up to the Path to Power podcast studio.

His comments on urban Ireland subsidising rural Ireland have attracted heavy criticism.

Among critics was Fianna Fáil TD James O'Connor, who said: "Leo's urban bias balaclava slips. He should do his Fine Gael colleagues a favour and go into the quiet night to enjoy his private life."

Among the public, however, there were more mixed views. The two top comments left under The Journal's article detailing Varadkar's views read: "Weird and out of touch as always Leo", followed by, "Fair play to him and a fair point. He's 100% correct".

So today we're asking you: Do you agree with Leo Varadkar's comments on rural Ireland?
